WOODCUTTING

Woodcutting is a great way to make lots of fast money especially if you are a member. There are 6 main types of trees with the highest being magic. To chop a tree,all you need to do is click the tree while having a hatchet in your inventory or wielding it.

Here is how I would recommed you raise your levels

Levels 1-15 - Normal Trees, Thick areas like draynor forest

Levels 15 - 40 - Oak Trees, Bank or Burn depending on location

Levels 40 - 60 - Willows, If you want fast levels, chop these until 70 but if you want to make money, chop yews and fletch or sell them.

Levels 60-75 - Yews If you want to make money, or you could chop willows to 70 then chop maples from 70 on if you want fast levels.

Levels 75-99 - When you hit level 75, woodcut becomes a very good moneymaker if you are a member. If you arent a member, continue chopping yews until level 99 for the best money.

Random Events

While woodcutting, you should beware of a few random events. First, the Tree Spirit can attack you, It ranges in levels from 14 to 159 depending on your combat level, see the picture to your left. Secondly, Your tree can turn into an Ent while you are chopping it. If you continue to chop the tree, it will snap down and break your axe. You can then fix it by using on it on Bob the axe salesman in Lumbrige for a small fee, He charges 427 coins to fix a rune hatchet. Lastly, When you click a tree, your axe head can simply fly off and land somewhere in your vicinity. You can then just pick it up and use it on your axe handle.
